CentraCare is the only health care organization in Minnesota to partner with Pritikin Intensive Cardiac Rehab (ICR) to help you commit to a new, healthier lifestyle. Based on decades of research, Pritikin is one of only two available ICR programs approved by Medicare.
Our sites with Pritikin education offer:
- A medication class led by a pharmacist
- An exercise class led by an exercise physiologist
- Healthy mindset classes led by a behavioral health specialist
- Nutrition workshops, cooking demos and a 1:1 meeting with a registered dietitian
With twice the number of sessions as other rehab programs, you will have more time to improve your health and adapt to lifestyle changes.
How Long is Cardiac Rehabilitation?
Sessions last about 90 minutes. They include exercise and education. The length of your sessions depends on:
- How many times you choose to attend each week
- Your insurance coverage
Every 30 days, we’ll review your goals and progress. You’ll see how your heart rate and blood pressure change. Your cardiologist and primary care team will also get updates on your progress.
What’s the Cost?
Health insurance covers cardiac rehab. Check your plan’s coverage.
