Home Wound Care

If your wound won’t heal, ask CentraCare for help. You’ll receive excellent care from our home health team, which other agencies often refer patients to because of our expertise. Wound care nurses will work with your doctor to find a treatment that offers relief.

Locations

Wounds We Treat

Trust our certified wound, ostomy and continence nurses to care for your or your child’s:

  • Diabetic foot ulcer
  • G-tube (feeding tube) site
  • Ostomy
  • Pressure sores
  • Surgical wound

What to Expect

A nurse will assess your wound and overall health to make a treatment plan. You’ll learn how to:

  • Clean your wound, change dressings and apply medications
  • Recognize signs of infection, such as redness, swelling and increased pain

You may also benefit from negative pressure (vacuum) therapy. It gently draws out fluid and dead tissue to reduce swelling and close your wound.

Monitoring Your Health

Your care team will use photos and routine visits to check how well your wound heals over time. If you have questions or concerns, we’ll help you communicate with your doctor for seamless, complete care.
