What Types of Massages Do We Offer?

  • Swedish Massage: The most popular for relaxation and stress, the long flowing strokes, kneading and friction of a Swedish massage can also increase circulation and ease muscle pain.
  • Deep Tissue and Trigger Point Therapy: Trigger points are found in muscles where knots have formed and caused pain in other areas of the body. The therapist applies pressure to trigger points in the deep layers of muscle to decrease pain, reduce stress and increase range of motion.
  • Sports Massage: Massage can be beneficial before and after sporting events. It can help athletes prepare for athletic activities and recover from workouts and injury. We use a variety of techniques such as shaking, stretching, friction or deeper work.
  • Myofascial Release: Myofascial release can help manage chronic pain, headaches, neck pain, scar tissue and more. The therapist uses gentle pressure to release restrictions in the connective tissue.
  • Prenatal & Postnatal Massage: Prenatal massage provides relaxation and increases circulation. It can help reduce pain, improve sleep and boost mood. Postnatal massage can aid with discomfort from birth, healing, stress reduction and relaxation.
  • Aromatherapy: Aromatherapy enhances massage therapy and can help with pain reduction, anxiety and depression. This stimulating and uplifting therapy can be inhaled or used topically.
  • Chair Massage: Chair massages are great for corporate events or parties! They can relieve workplace stress and increase productivity. A chair massage lasts 10-15 minutes and focuses on the back, neck and shoulders.
  • Cupping Therapy: Cupping therapy can relieve pain and inflammation and increase blood flow.
  • Esalen Massage: Esalen massage looks at the body as a whole rather than as separate parts. Through a variety of techniques, you will become aware of how you are holding tension in your body.
  • Reiki: Reiki promotes relaxation and stress reduction as well as mental, physical, and spiritual healing. It finds root emotional causes to physical ailments and can be a great alternative treatment for depression and anxiety.
  • Structural Assessment and Treatment Plans: The therapist will test strength and range of motion through static pressure, static pressure with passive motion, static pressure with active motion and active resistance. Based on the findings, he or she will recommend a treatment plan.
  • Hot Stone Massage: The therapist will place flat, heated basalt rocks on your body for pain relief, relaxation, improved circulation, decreased stress and massage of tight muscles.

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

CentraCare care givers have been working around the clock for more than 20 months to care for you, your families and friends during COVID. We are committed to caring for every Minnesotan who needs us, and nothing will prevent us from doing so – even during these never-seen-before times.

The challenge of providing this level of care is that our hospital beds are often full. ERs in all of our hospitals are packed. And our clinical teams are exhausted. Early in the pandemic, our community stepped up in amazing ways to help us. We ask that you again join us in fighting this pandemic together.

How can you help?

  • Please get your COVID vaccines and booster shots. They are proven safe and effective in reducing COVID illness, keeping people out of the hospital, and preventing death.
  • If your situation is not an emergency, please use other care options, including:
  • If this is a medical emergency, call 9-1-1, or visit the ER.

Together, we can do this. Thank you for your support.
