There are times when your child needs special expertise. You’re already stressed -- and having to drive to the Twin Cities just adds to the burden. But there are many pediatric specialty services available right here in Central Minnesota.

CentraCare Partners with Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota to Ensure:

  • Consistency of treatment guidelines, ensuring your child receives the same high quality care in St. Cloud that’s available in the Twin Cities
  • Weekly visits from specialists
  • Seamless transition to Children’s should your child need further care
  • Round-the-clock access to Children’s specialists

Some of the Specialized Pediatric Services Provided at CentraCare Include:

  • Administration of select chemotherapy and blood products
  • Monitoring of side effects and complications from chemotherapy
  • Administration of antibiotic and fluid infusions
  • Medical evaluations and consultations
  • Lab and imaging services
  • Management and treatment of anemias, clotting disorders, hemophilia, idiopathic thrombocytopenia and sickle cell disease
  • Monitoring of port and central line access

Some of these services are provided in the Pediatric Short Stay & Infusion Unit, which provides up to eight hours of care for children who may need medical observation, but not a hospital stay.

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

CentraCare care givers have been working around the clock for more than 20 months to care for you, your families and friends during COVID. We are committed to caring for every Minnesotan who needs us, and nothing will prevent us from doing so – even during these never-seen-before times.

The challenge of providing this level of care is that our hospital beds are often full. ERs in all of our hospitals are packed. And our clinical teams are exhausted. Early in the pandemic, our community stepped up in amazing ways to help us. We ask that you again join us in fighting this pandemic together.

How can you help?

  • Please get your COVID vaccines and booster shots. They are proven safe and effective in reducing COVID illness, keeping people out of the hospital, and preventing death.
  • If your situation is not an emergency, please use other care options, including:
  • If this is a medical emergency, call 9-1-1, or visit the ER.

Together, we can do this. Thank you for your support.

President and CEO
