Preparing For Your Surgery at CentraCare - Plaza Surgery Center

As you prepare for your surgery, let us know of any special requests. We will work closely with you to meet your needs.

One of our nurses will call you before your surgery. If your surgery takes place on Monday, we will call you by the previous Friday. If you do not hear from us by 3 p.m. the day before your surgery, please call.

If you cannot read or speak English, or if you use sign language, let us know. We can arrange for an interpreter.

If you require an overnight stay, bring any belongings you will need during this time, such as toiletries, contact lens supplies, routine medications in clearly labeled containers and other personal items.

We welcome your comments, concerns or suggestions. Please call us at anytime. Our phone number is 320-229-4997. Our hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Instructions for Family and Friends

While you are in surgery, we would like your family and friends to remain on the CentraCare Plaza grounds. While waiting, they can:

  • Stay in a nearby waiting room.
  • Grab a snack or small meal at the Café.
  • Use the Interfaith Meditation Room to think, rest or pray.
  • Pick up prescriptions and other medicine at CentraCare Pharmacy.
  • Find crossword puzzles, games and other activities at the Gift Gallery.
  • Walk the 1.1-mile path around the CentraCare Plaza.

We know waiting can be hard on family and friends. We will keep them updated. With your OK, the surgeon will meet with your family and friends to tell them about the surgery results.

At CentraCare Surgery Center, we will bill you for use of our facility, implant(s) and special supplies. This fee does not include services provided by:
