Weight Loss Services in Central Minnesota

Our non-surgical weight loss programs focus on an evidence-based approach using researched and established methods to achieve weight loss and weight maintenance. Under the guidance of medical professionals, patients follow a personalized meal plan.

Medical

Our Medical program helps you achieve safe and effective weight loss under the direction of a physician or advanced practice provider (APP) and a team of specialists. Your initial consultation is with a physician/APP and a registered dietitian to create a personalized weight loss plan.

Program Options:

  • Monthly provider visits to monitor progress, manage medications and manage labs.
  • Six or 12 health coaching visits for accountability and motivation by a personal coach. These visits can be one-on-one, group, by telephone or virtual. Coaching packages include unlimited access to weight management classes and the 12-visit package includes life-long monthly weight maintenance coaching visits.
  • Personalized nutrition plan and nutrition counseling developed with a registered dietitian.
  • Development and implementation of a structured exercise program is managed by an exercise specialist.
  • Weight loss medications.
  • Meal replacement products may be utilized for safe and effective weight loss.

Wellness

Our wellness program helps you achieve safe and effective weight loss under the direction of a registered dietitian.

This program includes:

  • Initial consultation with a registered dietitian to create a personalized weight loss plan.
  • 12 health coaching visits for accountability and motivation by a personal coach. These visits can be one-on-one, group, by telephone or virtual.
  • Weekly classes are also available covering topics in nutrition, personal effectiveness and exercise.
  • Development and implementation of a structured exercise program is managed by an exercise specialist.
  • Monthly weight maintenance coaching visits for as long as you need them.
  • Meal replacement products may be utilized for safe and effective weight loss.

You may benefit from our program if you:

  • Are ready to make nutrition, physical activity and behavior changes to improve your well-being.
  • Have health issues that would improve with weight loss.
  • Work well with an interdisciplinary team approach to facilitate greater weight loss and successful long-term weight maintenance.
  • Are committed to regular on-going visits at one of our sites.
  • Have an upcoming surgery and could decrease the risks of anesthesia/surgery or recovery as directed by surgeon.

You may be a candidate for our Non-Surgical Weight Management programs if you have:

  • A body mass index (BMI) of 25 or more
  • An ability to make a variety of lifestyle changes required for long-term weight maintenance

What to Expect With Our Program

Screening Phase

  • Your first visit at our center is scheduled with a provider who has the expertise to meet your medical and weight loss needs. The consultation may include labs, EKG, dietitian and/or provider appointments.
  • There also will be a comprehensive assessment of your eating behaviors, eating patterns and lifestyle habits that can impact your weight and your ability to lose and maintain a healthy weight.

Reducing Phase

  • The weight loss phase of your program continues as long as needed to meet your needs.

Maintenance Phase — The most important phase of the program

  • Fine tuning of new eating, behavior and exercise skills and habits.
  • Life-long monthly personal coaching visits are available to those who participate in our 12-visit coaching service.
  • Our research shows that patients who have 25 or more visits at CentraCare Weight Management lose 50 percent more than those who have 24 or fewer visits at our center.
