Committed to the Health of Our Community: CentraCare Health – Monticello Receives Recognition from the Minnesota Department of Health

CentraCare Health - Monticello was recognized by the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) for achieving high influenza vaccination rates among its employees during the 2014-2015 flu season.

The MDH’s FluSafe program was created to encourage health care workers to become vaccinated against the flu in order to limit the risk of flu contamination among patients and communities. Hospitals and nursing homes participating in the program maintain best practices and track immunization rates.

“We are proud to be recognized for our commitment to flu safety in our community,” said Lesley Wilson, RN, BSN, Patient Safety and Employee Health Specialist at CentraCare Health - Monticello. “Our high vaccination rate is one example of how we keep our patients safe every day. We are dedicated to continually educating our patients and staff about staying well during flu season.”
