Coborn Cancer Center offers new Multidisciplinary Cancer Clinic to lung and breast cancer patients

Published in Media Releases

The Multidisciplinary Cancer Clinic at Coborn Cancer Center minimizes the time between cancer diagnosis and treatment for lung and breast cancer patients.

Program features include:

  • In a single visit, patients meet with a team of experts in a comforting environment.
  • Care team includes surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pulmonologists, genetic counselors, nurses, pathologists and radiologists.
  • Patient and care team together select a personalized, unified treatment plan.

This process leads to better patient experience, higher quality outcomes, improved safety and lower cost of care. Lung cancer patient Jo Hendrickson from Cushing said, “All I had to do was show up on this one day and see all my physicians and care team. Everyone was on the same page, so nice, so caring and so kind. It was like I was the only person they were taking care of. I call them the ‘A team’”.
