Dear Friends and Neighbors,

CentraCare care givers have been working around the clock for more than 20 months to care for you, your families and friends during COVID. We are committed to caring for every Minnesotan who needs us, and nothing will prevent us from doing so – even during these never-seen-before times.

The challenge of providing this level of care is that our hospital beds are often full. ERs in all of our hospitals are packed. And our clinical teams are exhausted. Early in the pandemic, our community stepped up in amazing ways to help us. We ask that you again join us in fighting this pandemic together.

How can you help?

  • Please get your COVID vaccines and booster shots. They are proven safe and effective in reducing COVID illness, keeping people out of the hospital, and preventing death.

100 calorie snacks

Snacks don’t have to be a detour from healthy eating. Are you looking for a snack that’s healthy, but will take away your between meal hunger? Try one of these 100 calorie snacks!

  • Half an apple with 2 teaspoons of natural peanut butter
  • 10 almonds
  • 4 mini rice cakes with 2 tablespoons low-fat cottage cheese
  • 1/2 cup low-fat cottage cheese and 4 low-fat whole-wheat crackers
  • 1/4 cup fat-free ranch dressing with mixed raw veggies
  • 6 Wheat Thins crackers with two teaspoons of natural peanut butter (or any nut butter)
  • 1 small baked potato with 1/2 cup salsa and 2 tablespoons of fat-free sour cream
  • 1/3 cup of unsweetened applesauce with 1 slice of whole-wheat toast
  • 2 large graham cracker squares with 1 teaspoon natural peanut butter
  • 4 – 6 ounces of no-fat or low-fat yogurt
  • A 5-ounce tossed salad with lettuce, tomato, cucumber and 1/4 cup fat-free dressing
  • Half a “finger” of string cheese with 4 whole-wheat crackers
  • 1 fat-free toaster waffle with 2 tablespoons light syrup
  • 30 pistachios
  • 1/4 cup soynuts
  • 5 cups light popcorn
  • 1/2 cup Cheerios with 1/2 cup skim milk
  • 2 Fig Newtons (any fruit flavor)
  • 1/2 cup fat-free pudding
  • 1/2 cup fat-free frozen yogurt
