CentraCare Health - Monticello's Healing Garden Dedication Celebration

Published in Media Releases

CentraCare Health – Monticello will host a Healing Garden dedication celebration on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 from 3–5 p.m. in the Healing Garden, located off of River Street, next to the Monticello Cancer Center.  A dedication program will begin at 3:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. All are welcome to attend.

CentraCare Health – Monticello’s Healing Garden was created to provide a peaceful place for patients, care center residents, family members and staff to enjoy the calm that nature brings. Through generous community donations, the Healing Garden was able to bloom. Today, the Healing Garden is home to a waterfall, rain garden, pergola, raised garden, walk ways, trees and flowers for all to enjoy.

“We are so proud to be able to provide a beautiful and serene place for patients, residents, family members and staff on our campus,” said Euretta Sorenson, RN, BSN, Manager at the Monticello Cancer Center. “One of the garden’s special features includes engraved rocks that have been donated by individuals as a tribute or memorial to a friend or loved one. The inspirational sayings on the rocks provide comfort and healing to all who visit the Healing Garden.”

The Healing Garden demonstrates CentraCare Health – Monticello’s commitment to caring for the whole person to support wellness in our community.
