CentraCare Health - Long Prairie Welcomes Harrison H. Hanson

CentraCare Health – Long Prairie is pleased to welcome Harrison H. Hanson, M.D., as the newest member of the medical staff in August. Dr. Hanson has been practicing medicine in Orange City, Iowa, for the last six years where his work included a wide scope of family care in a rural setting including: diabetes coordinator for the clinic, obstetrics, inpatient medicine, pediatrics and emergency medicine.

Dr. Hanson also has advanced training in natural fertility care and has been able to help many couples struggling with infertility, repeated miscarriages and other women’s health issues. New Centracare Health - Long Prairie Physician  Harrison H. He received his medical degree at the University of Minnesota, including nine months of apprenticeship in Long Prairie, and first two years in Duluth’s rural-focused program, and completed his three years of residency with the Mercy Family Medicine Residency, Mason City, Iowa.

Dr. Hanson has been involved in global outreach experiences and has received awards for his humanism, compassion, respect and integrity and his contribution to family medicine.

Outside of work, he enjoys time with family, church activities, sports, outdoor recreation, reading, hunting, fishing and music.
