St. Cloud Hospital receives Blue Distinction Center+ designation for quality and efficiency
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota recently redesignated St. Cloud Hospital as a Blue Distinction Centers for Specialty Care® program in the areas of Spine Surgery+ and Knee and Hip+Replacement for expertise in quality and cost efficiency in delivering specialty care.
As a Blue Distinction® Center+, St. Cloud Hospital meets or exceeds the overall quality measures for patient safety and outcomes, as well as cost measures that address consumers’ need for affordable health care. Research confirms that Blue Distinction Centers demonstrate better quality and improved outcomes for patients, with lower rates of complications and readmissions than their peers. Blue Distinction Centers+ also are more than 20 percent more cost-efficient.
St. Cloud Hospital has the only Blue Distinction Center for Spine Surgery north of the Twin Cities.

St. Cloud Hospital’s Center for Neuroscience, includes a wide array of services, with a strong focus on medical and surgical spine needs. From inpatient care, rehabilitation, to outpatient services, the care center is designed to enhance the quality of life for these patients. The Bone & Joint Center, a collaborative effort of St. Cloud Hospital and St. Cloud Orthopedics, offers a full array of specialty and subspecialty care in total joint replacements, total joint revisions, hand/shoulder surgery and sports medicine.
