Dear Friends and Neighbors,

CentraCare care givers have been working around the clock for more than 20 months to care for you, your families and friends during COVID. We are committed to caring for every Minnesotan who needs us, and nothing will prevent us from doing so – even during these never-seen-before times.

The challenge of providing this level of care is that our hospital beds are often full. ERs in all of our hospitals are packed. And our clinical teams are exhausted. Early in the pandemic, our community stepped up in amazing ways to help us. We ask that you again join us in fighting this pandemic together.

How can you help?

  • Please get your COVID vaccines and booster shots. They are proven safe and effective in reducing COVID illness, keeping people out of the hospital, and preventing death.

100 Calorie Snacks

It’s 3 p.m., your stomach is growling and your energy is evaporating. You don’t want to wreak the progress you’ve made on your eating healthy resolution. What’s a good choice for a snack? Try one of these 100 calorie snacks!

  • Half an apple with 2 teaspoons of natural peanut butter
  • 10 almonds
  • 6 mini rice cakes with low-fat string cheese
  • ½ cup low-fat cottage cheese with ¼ cup berries
  • 2 tablespoons of hummus or ¼ cup salsa with mixed raw veggies
  • 6 Wheat Thins crackers with two teaspoons of natural peanut butter (or any nut butter)
  • Low-sodium deli turkey meat with a low-fat string cheese
  • Hard-boiled egg with raw veggies
  • To-go size unsweetened applesauce with a hard-boiled egg
  • 2 large graham cracker squares with 1 teaspoon of natural peanut butter
  • 6 ounces of no-fat or low-fat yogurt
  • A 5-ounce tossed salad with lettuce, tomato, cucumber and ¼ cup of fat-free dressing
  • Tuna packet with celery
  • ½ cup edamame
  • 30 pistachios
  • ¼ cup soynuts
  • 5 cups light popcorn
  • ½ cup low-fat ricotta cheese with tomatoes
  • 2 Fig Newtons (any fruit flavor)
  • ½ cup fat-free pudding
  • 6 ounces of low-fat or fat-free yogurt with cocoa powder
