CentraCare’s South Point COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic to Close April 15

Published in Media Releases Author: CentraCare

Effective April 15, CentraCare will close its main COVID-19 vaccination site in St. Cloud.

For the past year South Point, located on 3001 Clearwater Road, had been open for vaccinations by appointment or for walk-in traffic. CentraCare will transition COVID-19 vaccinations to various clinic locations as COVID-19 case numbers continue to decline within the state.

As South Point prepares to close, community members are still encouraged to come in for vaccination, especially those with multiple family members or those who want vaccinations at no cost.

The last day for vaccinations at South Point will be April 15. After this date, community members can call 320-200-3200 for assistance with scheduling a vaccine dose at a CentraCare clinic site. These clinics will charge a nominal administration fee as they do for any type of vaccination.

“Throughout the COVID-19 health emergency, CentraCare was pleased to be able to offer our community this free and easy access to the COVID-19 vaccine,” said Jessica Miller, APRN, CNS, CentraCare’s COVID Operations Manager. “Since its opening, the South Point team has administered more than 100,800 doses of the vaccine.”

The South Point vaccination clinic opened on January 18, 2021. Its busiest week was the first week of March 2021 when the team administered 11,000 doses of vaccine.
