COVID-19 Booster Vaccine Appointments Now Open at CentraCare Locations

Appointments are now available to receive the latest COVID-19 booster dose that was approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) earlier this month.

CentraCare will have the Pfizer bivalent booster vaccine available to those 12 and older who had their primary vaccine series or last booster more than 2 months ago.

The bivalent booster provides broader protection against COVID-19 because it targets both the original strain and the new Omicron variants, which is what happens with the flu vaccine every year.

To schedule an appointment for the COVID-19 bivalent booster:

• Call CentraCare Connect at 320-200-3200 for MOST CentraCare locations, or
• Call the numbers below for Willmar Main and New London Clinic locations:
  • Willmar Main: 320-231-5000
  • New London: 320-354-2222
• Receive the vaccine during a primary care clinic visit.

It is safe to get a flu shot at the same time as any COVID-19 vaccine, including the bivalent booster. If you'd like to receive both vaccines at your appointment, please mention this when calling to schedule.
