    Biography

    What I Do
I have two main philosophies of care. I continually ask myself what I can do to best help my patient or their parents today and I also implement the occupational therapy philosophy of the Just Right Challenge. The Just Right Challenge is to empower a child allowing them to feel proud of their accomplishments. Secondly, it is my job to modify or adapt tasks to meet the child where they are and progress from there. This involves being a good listener, educating parents, creating a close relationship with the children and families, being willing to have crucial conversations, and making therapy as fun as possible while still making progress.

My special clinical interests include child development, sensory processing, upper extremity force use programming, reflex integration, vision and feeding therapy.

    Why I Love My Work
I enjoy that I get to use play as a therapy to progress activities of daily living every day. I also enjoy building relationships with patients and their families.

I like having the opportunity to frequently think outside of the box, be creative, and bring fun to therapy that is not always easy. I want parents to know that I understand the magnitude that they are trusting me with their most precious possession, their child.

    Getting to Know Me
Outside of work, I enjoy an active wellness lifestyle. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, being a soccer, dance, karate, and swimming super fan, traveling, being outdoors, gardening, art, and fitness.
