    Biography

    What I Do
My goal every day is to help people of all ages maximize their health, well-being and quality of life. As an occupational therapist, I do this by finding creative and productive solutions for injured patients. I help patients overcome their fears and assure them I am here to help. Then I watch and encourage them so that they can realize their potential and get back to doing what they need and love to do. I have always been fascinated by the intricacies of the hand and what an amazing human machine it is. I treated a few hand injuries early in my career and decided this is where I belong. I have loved it ever since. My clinical interests include the treatment of upper-extremity conditions, including fractures, lacerations, amputations, burns and surgical repairs of the tendons and nerves.

    Why I Love My Work
When I was in high school, I witnessed my grandmother have a significant stroke. I went to visit her in the nursing home and watched her work with an occupational therapist. I asked the occupational therapist about her job and that was the time I said to myself, “I want to do that!” There is nothing better than going home after a day of work knowing you made a difference in someone's life.

    Getting to Know Me
Outside of work, I love to travel with my family, especially if it is warm and has a beach. My favorite times of the year are when I can hunt or fish. I also like to ride my Harley-Davidson or the convertible with the top down in the summer with my wife.
