    Biography

    What I Do
My philosophy of care is that each patient has their distinct needs, values and priorities. I believe in partnering with, guiding and empowering patients to execute their own unique care plan that best attains their health care goals. My special clinical interests include striving to reduce the access and outcome disparities that exist within our health system. CentraCare, especially with its considerable community outreach programs, is making a difference daily in the lives of community members throughout Central Minnesota.

    Why I Love My Work
I enjoy helping people find and achieve their maximum potential despite their chronic health challenges. Sharing my knowledge with patients empowers them to navigate the often complicated and frightening world of renal disease. I am committed to equipping patients with the tools they need to make decisions based on their values and priorities.

    Getting to Know Me
Although I have made Minnesota my home since 2008, I was born and raised in Colombia. I was 23 when I emigrated to the United States and performed all my postsecondary education here in Minnesota. When I was a little girl, I would ride in a Yipao with my grandparents to their coffee farm outside of Popayán in the Cauca region of Columbia. Although many people in the United States consider coffee an ‘adult’ drink, growing up in Colombia, we typically begin drinking coffee as children!

Outside of work, I love spending time playing board games, admiring nature and traveling.
