Biography What I Do
My philosophy of care is to work with patients alongside their primary care providers to treat physical and mental health needs simultaneously. I utilize a person-centered, solution-focused approach to assist patients in meeting their individual goals. I enjoy working collaboratively with the patients while I creatively find ways to increase symptom management, regardless of age. My clinical interests include primary care behavioral health, coping with serious and persistent mental illness, managing life stressors and anxiety, working with teenagers and providing accelerated resolution therapy.I chose integrated behavioral health as my specialty because I enjoy working collaboratively within the primary care setting. It is great to see a patient’s progress when they are treated wholly -- both physically and mentally. It is rewarding to work in a primary care setting and be available to patients throughout their lifespan.
Why I Love My Work
I most enjoy the variety of patients I get to work with. I work with people ages 3 to 93 that all have so many different experiences, backgrounds and needs. No day is the same in integrated behavioral health. I also appreciate having a close-knit group of colleagues whom I can rely on for support. Everyone is always willing to help — from other integrated health providers, to physicians, to patient access staff and others.I enjoy being able to help out those right within our community. There is nothing more rewarding than a patient saying, “Thank you. You really helped me when I needed it.”
Getting to Know Me
Outside of work, I enjoy teaching dance, spending time at the lake with friends and family, traveling, watching movies and playing board games.Education -
