    Biography

    What I Do
I began my career as a nurse in cardiology because my father died of heart failure. I wanted to use my experience and education to help other patients and families. I have since become a nurse practitioner in family medicine. This specialty allows me to see patients of all ages for a variety of health concerns. My clinical interests include heart failure, diabetes, asthma and child and adolescent mental health. I believe that medical care should be patient focused. Patients should be involved in and understand their options. It is important they choose the care right for them. I look forward to getting to know my patients and their families so that I can provide individualized care.

    Why I Love My Work
I have worked for CentraCare for many years and chose to stay with CentraCare because of the high-quality, patient-focused care we provide.

    Getting to Know Me
I was born and raised in Minnesota, and currently live in Rockville because I appreciate the sense of community, closeness and belonging. Living in Central Minnesota gives me the opportunity to spend time outdoors and on the lakes with friends and family. I am also learning to play the accordion.
