    What I Do
My philosophy of care as a midwife is to trust the natural processes of pregnancy and labor, to respect and honor a woman’s birth plan, and to intervene only when necessary. I keep my patients informed and involved in all decisions regarding their care, and most importantly my role is to be present. My special clinical interests include care and support of women during pregnancy, labor, delivery and postpartum.

    Why I Love My Work
The best part about my job is being part of something special every day -- the birth of a baby. I love the precious moment when parents meet their baby face-to-face; it is a privilege to be a part of it.

    Getting to Know Me
Prior to becoming a certified nurse midwife, I was an OB RN for more than a decade. I loved it. I was inspired by the certified nurse midwives that I worked with and how they cared for and supported women. I wanted to do the same. Midwife means "with woman." I have enjoyed working “with women” for two decades now.
