  What I Do
  As an advanced practice nurse and sex counselor, I work with women, men, and gender diverse people within the Sexual Medicine and LGBTQ Medicine programs.

  My sexual medicine practice is predominantly focused on the medical management of women’s sexual well-being. My passion is working with menopausal women, women with vulvovaginal and pain disorders, and cancer survivors. My certification as a sex counselor allows me to work with individuals (women and men) and couples in private sessions to address all aspects of sexuality and relationships. I love that I can provide education to other healthcare providers and conduct sexuality seminars within the community.

  Within the LGBTQ Medicine program, I am part of the team providing gender-affirming hormones to gender diverse people. I’ve brought my sexual health background to the evaluation and treatment of sexually transmitted infections and HIV prevention.

  Why I Love My Work
  I have a deep passion and appreciation for the role sexuality and gender play in our quality of life and well-being, regardless of age. I love that my work involves the mind, the body, and relationships – truly the whole person. I feel privileged that people trust me with intimate and private aspects of their lives. Getting out of our comfort zones and having conversations on tough topics is something I am drawn to. Being part of a smart, genuine and compassionate team is something I am incredibly grateful for and makes this the most awesome job. Doing work that matters fuels me and my goal is to touch people’s lives as much as they touch mine.

  Getting to Know Me
  When out of scrubs, you will likely find me outside playing in the sun and dirt. Physical activity and gardening are my therapy. My energy comes from an inner circle of family and friends. I love exploring yoga, meditation, podcasts and practice writing skills with blogging.
