    What I Do
As a registered dietitian, I enjoy getting to know as much as I can about my patients. Weight loss is not one-size-fits-all. I get to know my patients’ home and work environments, stress levels, sleep and self-care strategies to develop a nutrition plan specific to them. Nutrition can be confusing. With a few clicks, anyone can be a nutrition “expert.” It’s important that patients have a resource they can trust, someone who can translate evidence-based research into everyday strategies geared toward a healthy lifestyle. My areas of interest are weight management, behavior change, culinary and sports nutrition.

    Why I Love My Work
I enjoy building relationships with patients and helping them foster a healthy relationship with food. The one-on-one nature of nutrition counseling allows me to get on a personal level with patients and see a situation through their lens. I love working with patients to develop a practical program that meets their needs and helps build confidence in their skills so that one day they can navigate a healthy, active lifestyle on their own.

    Getting to Know Me
In my spare time, I love being outdoors whether it’s biking, paddleboarding or hiking the North Shore with my husband Jeremy. I enjoy cooking and hosting for friends and family. Along with being a registered dietitian, I am also a certified personal trainer. I grew up in Central Minnesota and know the unique needs, challenges and strengths of rural/farm communities.
