    Biography

    What I Do

My philosophy of care is to have and create an individualized plan for every patient. This includes a thorough workup and trust with the patient. In a small community, we become very close with our patients and families throughout their lives. My specialty is general surgery. In this specialty, I am very lucky to be able to combine a wide breadth of both medicine and surgery. The number of surgeries and procedures we do is unmatched, and it makes every day exciting. My clinical interests include foregut surgery, bariatric surgery and advanced flexible endoscopy.

    Why I Love My Work

I love to critically think through a complex situation and help another human being. I also love working with my hands and the diversity I experience in my job. I grew up in the area, so I am excited and passionate to bring my training back home and to serve the patients here. I believe in having world class care in our own backyards.

    Getting to Know Me

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family. I also enjoy surfing, skiing, snowboarding, kitesurfing and hockey.
