    The Department of Neurology specializes in disorders of the brain, spinal cord, and nerves providing comprehensive evaluation and treatment of a variety of neurological problems. These include:

    • Epilepsy
    • Multiple sclerosis
    • Parkinson's disease
    • Peripheral neuropathies
    • Stroke
    • Headache

    The physicians and nurses coordinate and manage care of adult patients in conjunction with primary physicians and other specialists. The department maintains an active electrophysiology laboratory that performs:

    • Electroencephalography (EEG)
    • Electromyography (EMG)
    • Nerve conduction studies (NCS)

    These studies investigate a wide variety of pathologic processes involving the brain, peripheral nerves and muscles. Botulinum toxin (Botox) services are also provided for a variety of conditions including dystonia, torticollis, and hemifacial spasm.
