    What I Do
My philosophy of care is to help patients identify their values and desired level of functioning. I provide education about mind-body connection and skills-based strategies to help patients. This way my patients tolerate/work through difficult emotions, identify and change unhelpful thoughts patterns, engage in behaviors that promote functioning, symptom improvement, and resiliency. We explore strategies that are consistent with the patient’s values, emotional and physical health. We also explore the patient’s readiness for change and start where the patient is at.

I went into integrated behavioral health as a specialty because I enjoy working with patients on their goals for change. Rarely do we accomplish goals and change without support or encouragement along the way. I like to normalize experiences, emotions, highlight what patients are doing well and help patients play up to their strengths. I am friendly and casual and if I am not your cup of tea, it is okay to tell me. I will help you find someone that is a better fit. To me, it is important you feel comfortable with your therapist!

    Why I Love My Work
I enjoy providing information to patients about how the mind and body work in a way that makes sense to them. This provides patients with the opportunity to engage in daily strategies to understand and feel better in their body.

    Getting to Know Me
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family. I recently have fallen in love with yoga. I also am a lifelong learner. I grew up on a farm in rural Minnesota. I like being able to live in a small community with good schools for my kids, while also being within driving distance of other families and activities.
