    What I Do
I believe in teaching patients about how they can be involved in preventative health and lifestyle modifications that can help prevent chronic illnesses. By teaching my patients how to take active involvement in their health, I aim to set them up for success. With my team, we strive to help promote a healthier community one patient at a time by being involved in the community and by reaching our youth to begin preventing acute and chronic illnesses. Listening to my patients' physical, emotional, and mental health concerns is especially important to me. Making sure my patients understand that they can reach out at any time without judgement is at the center of my practice.

I am interested in providing care across the entire lifespan. I enjoy being able to work with all members of the family to prevent chronic illnesses and complications associated with them. I have a special interest in pediatrics, women’s health and emergency medicine. I am also a certified lactation consultant.

    Why I Love My Work
I love being able to see families grow! Being able to see new babies enter a family and how that changes the family dynamics is so fun! What I find to be the most rewarding is building relationships with my patients and their families. I grew up in a family of nurses and caregivers. I want to return the favor to those who have cared for me. Less time feeling sick means more time spent feeling well with family and friends. I strive to get my patients to that point.

    Getting to Know Me
I graduated from Osakis High School where I was involved in cheerleading, drama, and softball. I have been a part of the Long Prairie community for most of my life as most of my family has lived there since before I was born. There is nowhere else I would rather work than in my own community and serving my neighbors. Outside of work, I love spending time with my family. My husband is a sheriff’s deputy with Todd County. We have been blessed with five amazing children and two grandsons. We spend as much time as we can with them! We are often found at a ball field watching softball and baseball, the tennis courts, football field and sitting in a gym watching our kids play volleyball or basketball. We love camping, fishing, hunting, being by the lake and spending time with our family and two dogs. On the off chance we are not running around, I like to read, craft and sew. Before obtaining my nursing license, I obtained my cosmetology license and worked at a salon in Alexandria, MN for 3 years. This has come in very handy with four daughters!
