    Biography

    What I Do
My philosophy of care is person-centered, trauma-informed care. I prioritize taking a non-judgmental stance to meet people where they are. I went into mental health as a specialty because of my mom. She was a counselor and saw a need for a broader scale of mental health treatment options. My clinical interests include serious and persistent mental illness and chemical dependency. Prior to this, I worked in the prison system. Here it was easily recognized how we could be doing so much more to help people avoid going down that road by providing more targeted services. This is why I consider the amount of trauma people experience and incorporate a trauma-informed care concept.

    Why I Love My Work
I truly and genuinely love what I do. I enjoy helping people find a path forward.

    Getting to Know Me
Outside of work, I enjoy music, skiing, biking and gardening. I also used to be part owner of a restaurant and I used to have a career in the telecom industry. I am currently playing bass guitar in a band.
