    Biography

    What I Do
I am dedicated to understanding the underlying cause and contributing factors of illness in my pediatric patients. While seeking a team approach with both the caregiver and child, it is my goal to formulate a diagnostic and treatment plan that will bring the most desirable outcome for the child and family.

My clinical interests include the care of hospitalized children, procedural sedation for children, adolescent medicine, pediatric mental health, pediatric obesity and management of chronic medical conditions for children.

    Why I Love My Work
The most rewarding part about being a pediatrician is the daily interactions I have with my patients. In medical school, thanks to a fun 5-year-old hospitalized patient, I learned that no other specialty guarantees a prescription of play with your patients. I am grateful every day for the privilege of caring for children and I am honored by the trust that their parents and caregivers offer.

    Getting to Know Me
In my free time, I enjoy hiking, fishing, boating and enjoying the beauty of the outdoors. I am a central Illinois native. Minnesota is one of the most beautiful states I have visited, and it is a great place to call home. The many lakes, wooded forests, trails and outdoors lifestyle make it worth it!
