    Biography

    What I Do
My philosophy of care is to treat others how I would want to be treated. When working with patients and their families, I like to get to know them on a more personal level in addition to being their speech-language pathologist. This helps me to incorporate their interests, ideas, and activities in the patient’s sessions. My special clinical interests include cerebral palsy, language disorders, articulation/apraxia, feeding therapy and alternative and augmentive communication. I am certified in Sequential Oral Sensory approach to Feeding Therapy Autism.

    Why I Love My Work
I enjoy getting to know my patients and their families, my coworkers, and helping kids and their families improve their communication abilities. I enjoy the variety of disorders and challenges that present themselves in the medical setting and the ability to collaborate with other therapists, physicians, psychologists, and social workers.

    Getting to Know Me
Outside of work, I enjoy golfing, music, gardening, fishing, attending SCSU hockey games, and spending time with my husband and our two daughters.
