Senior treatment options
Chemical and mental health problems of older adults often go unnoticed because of isolation and loneliness. As a result, the older adult suffers in silence. Recovery Plus recognizes the unique challenges of the older adult and has programs specialized to these needs. In addition to a personalized evaluation and assessment, programs include primary treatment, continuing care, volunteer help, intervention and family counseling.
Gambling Addiction Program
This program is available to assist and provide treatment to addicted persons and their families. There are group sessions and individual therapy sessions included in the program. The Gambler’s Anonymous 12-Step Program of recovery is incorporated in the treatment process.
This program helps clients understand their addiction and covers a variety of issues unique to meth and cocaine users. Extended-length programming allows time for the brain chemistry to stabilize, while addressing self-defeating behavior patterns that may lead to relapse.
Dual Diagnosis Program
This specialized program teaches clients how addiction issues affect mental illness. This program is available to residential and full-day outpatient clients. Various therapists specialize in DBT, chronic pain management, ADD/ADHD, co-dependency, eating disorders and dual disorders.
Professional’s Recovery Program
Traditionally, there have been relatively few treatment options concentrating exclusively on discreet, confidential care for high-profile individuals such as community leaders, business executives, medical professionals clergy and government representatives. The Professional’s Recovery Program addresses this specific need. Individuals are offered specialized programming in a private setting. Such attention to individual need allows clients to continue their personal and professional activities without interruption.
Relapse Prevention Program
Relapse is defined as the process of becoming dysfunctional in recovery. Some examples of dysfunctional behavior include developing a negative attitude, returning to a state of denial and reverting to old behaviors. Returning to old addictive chemical use is usually the final stage of this process. Relapse can be stopped at any stage, provided the right help is available. This program is specifically designed for those individuals who need a specific program addressing self-defeating behaviors and relapse triggers. Additional programming is available for those recovering from meth, cocaine and other stimulants.
The Intervention Program is for concerned persons or family members who would like to explore helping a loved one enter treatment for alcohol or drug abuse. The program also helps families understand their own needs. Find an upcoming date.
