Monticello Emergency Services

The Emergency Department at CentraCare – Monticello is designed to support patient privacy and promote efficiencies that enhance our patients’ experiences.

The Emergency Department includes:

  • A dedicated cardiac care room, equipped with the latest technology to address, triage and treat patients experiencing heart attack and stroke symptoms.
  • A pull-through ambulance bay provides quicker and safer patient access and also provides immediate access to the trauma area.
  • A four-room behavioral health suite, including a bathroom with a shower, provides a safe place for patients experiencing behavioral health crises. The suite is also designed to ensure patient, staff and family safety.
  • As a Level IV Trauma Center the emergency department has two large trauma rooms with immediate access points to the ambulance bay to speed transport and care for our most serious patients.
  • Private exam rooms designed to support life-saving care while accommodating patient needs with televisions and personal device charging stations to improve overall patient experience.

CentraCare care givers have been working around the clock for more than 20 months to care for you, your families and friends during COVID. We are committed to caring for every Minnesotan who needs us, and nothing will prevent us from doing so – even during these never-seen-before times.

The challenge of providing this level of care is that our hospital beds are often full. ERs in all of our hospitals are packed. And our clinical teams are exhausted. Early in the pandemic, our community stepped up in amazing ways to help us. We ask that you again join us in fighting this pandemic together.
