CentraCare care givers have been working around the clock for more than 20 months to care for you, your families and friends during COVID. We are committed to caring for every Minnesotan who needs us, and nothing will prevent us from doing so – even during these never-seen-before times.

The challenge of providing this level of care is that our hospital beds are often full. ERs in all of our hospitals are packed. And our clinical teams are exhausted. Early in the pandemic, our community stepped up in amazing ways to help us. We ask that you again join us in fighting this pandemic together.

How can you help?

  • Please get your COVID vaccines and booster shots. They are proven safe and effective in reducing COVID illness, keeping people out of the hospital, and preventing death.

Joe Blonski, MD

headshot of Joe Blonski, MDBlonski has served in his current position since January 2016. From 2003-2016, he was the program director at the University of Minnesota/St. Cloud Hospital Family Medicine Residency. He joined CentraCare in 1995 as one of the inaugural faculty responsible for building and developing a new family medicine residency program in St. Cloud. Blonski has held many positions including St. Cloud Hospital chief of staff, chair of Credentials, and chair of the Practice Evaluation Committee.

Dr. Blonski completed his undergraduate work at Southern Illinois University- Carbondale, subsequently graduated from Loyola-Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood, IL in 1987 and completed his Family Medicine internship and residency at the Naval Hospital in Charleston, SC. He practiced diving and submarine medicine and full spectrum family medicine in the Navy prior to accepting his position in St. Cloud. Blonski is board certified in Family Medicine, has a Certified Physician Executive (CPE) degree from the American Association of Physician Leadership and an MBA from the Isenberg School of Management- University of Massachusetts Amherst.
