Home Care Services

With services provided in the comfort of your apartment home, we customize a health care plan with you – covering your exact needs – on a short-term or long-term basis.

St. Benedict’s Community operates with a Home Care license and serves the needs of tenants living in our housing settings. The need for individualized Home Care services is determined upon move in. Our goal - our relationship with you - is focused on maintaining your health and comfort. The fees are determined based on the number and scope of services needed.

The following services are included in the Home Care base rate:

  • Home Care aide on-site 24 hours a day, 365 days a year
  • Home Care Registered Nurse on campus weekdays and on-call 24 hours a day
  • Nurse liaison with health care professionals
  • Nurse supervisory visit every other month
  • Nurse coordination of laboratory requests
  • Maintenance of clinical record by nurse
  • Response by Home Care aide for unanticipated non-health related calls
  • Monthly wellness blood pressure and weight checks
  • Light housekeeping (weekly cleaning of apartment, daily trash removal and bed making upon request)
  • Weekly laundering of bed linens

Additional nurse and Home Care aide services may be purchased. This includes lab draws, nurse evaluation for emergencies or change in condition, and miscellaneous resident requested services. All residents are evaluated for Home Care needs when they move in.

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

CentraCare care givers have been working around the clock for more than 20 months to care for you, your families and friends during COVID. We are committed to caring for every Minnesotan who needs us, and nothing will prevent us from doing so – even during these never-seen-before times.

The challenge of providing this level of care is that our hospital beds are often full. ERs in all of our hospitals are packed. And our clinical teams are exhausted. Early in the pandemic, our community stepped up in amazing ways to help us. We ask that you again join us in fighting this pandemic together.

How can you help?

  • Please get your COVID vaccines and booster shots. They are proven safe and effective in reducing COVID illness, keeping people out of the hospital, and preventing death.
  • If your situation is not an emergency, please use other care options, including:
  • If this is a medical emergency, call 9-1-1, or visit the ER.

Together, we can do this. Thank you for your support.
